I wonder if I’m seeing something ghostly, sort of horse shaped.
Love the new names!
Ha if I had 5 acres I’d add a 1 in front of that 21 but then they’d all be bantams and I guess I’d have to see how I’d do with 21ish first lol
I hope you get some cuddlers! Work with them when chicks and try not getting breeds that say flighty in the breed description. Those are usually human avoidantYeah I didn't want to rehome but we're wanting more "cuddling" breeds since our 5 yr old wants them to be his. The older ones either i tried taming them wrong or they're just not cuddlers.I know no chicken will be kid safe but need to try something new

ooo I see what they mean... looks like a reflection of your phone or a coffee mug in the glass? right above the table in the grass area.Something horse shaped ? Where lol
Exactly! Generally hatchery breeds are not as friendly. Most of the heritage versions are friendlier due to being selected for it. Most of them are show birds and need to be handled by a judge.gotcha!I'm noticing that what the hatcheries say is "docile" and what people say on here are docile are sometimes two different things. i think i read in one of the forums though that there are exceptions to the breeds every now and then.
I bookmarked one of the articles about taming chicks too last night.
(think i stayed up too late last night "researching") I'm going to try and do those steps with these guys. right now i'm making sure to have "play time" with them for 10-30 minutes each day on the shed floor. the jerseys love testing their wings but they also love hopping on and off my hand i leave setting on the floor. my husband has affectionately dubbed them cottonballs with legs.

Okay now that I read Mystic's comment, it DOES look more like the top part of a coffee mug. Or the top part of a watering can. Or a Brita filter sawed in half. I just wanted to say sawed so it seems more creepy.
I did also think it looks like a headless cow before I read Mystic's comment. "Headless" for the same reason stated above.

Oh lol so it was a reflection from the sun then? I didn't know that can happen but that explains some of the pictures I've seen on the internet of "ghosts"It’s actually my iPhone lol![]()
