What got tangled in the netting?
I love.. “Run Forrest, ruuun!”
Turtle.. my husband's naked neck hen. She was just sitting in it hanging out :lau i walked over to get her out and she fluffed up at me:gig i guess she didn't want help:lol:
Hee hee...Forrest :celebratehe just runs and runs :D;)
I love how he stands straight up and goes. I've been outside just now spraying them with the hose to help keep them cooler and refilling water. It's close to 100°F again today :th

99 degrees at 5pm whew...ducks panting like dogs
I can relate. We got close to 110 one day last Summer. We usually have 5 or so heat waves in the summer that get that hot. The rest of the summer, highs are usually mid 80s to 95

Yes, and with the humidity factor... we get a heat index of 8-10 degrees.. or more.. more than the actual temp... which is a very steady 99:th
I have always loved California’s “perfect” summer weather!! In L. A. anyway... days are lovely and nights are spectacular! AND humidity free!!

That is generally true. Sometimes in the summer LA gets tropical weather and it can be 90 to 100 percent humidity with temps in the mid 80s to 95. I was at Disneyland once when it was like that. It was terrible!

Ooh I think my only memory of getting sunburn was at Disneyland.

Had a busy week, got a stand for my 32 gallon aquarium. The stand came with a 40 gallon which had a leak but that’s fine by me because I’m using it for a pair of button quail I got today. They are 3-4 months old, the boy is a normal red breasted I think that I named Petri and the hen is slate coloured named Petra. I was so excited forgot to take a picture before I put the fake plants in their tank. I’ll see if I can get any pictures of them tomorrow. Maybe of Petri but Petra likes to hide.

We (mostly DH but he’s convinced me too) are afraid of the stand not being sturdy enough so we aren’t filling the aquarium up for a while. This weekend we will fill it up in the backyard to see if there are any leaks. Then he wants my dad to review everything when he visits from AZ in a couple of weeks because he had fish for many years.
