Sassy Cajun!

Looks like some sort of splash patterned Brahma and it’s looking like a cockerel.

Dark reddish feathering on the wings is a tell tale sign that’s it’s a cockerel, I can already see some on my blue buff columbian Brahma chicks and it’s not looking like we have much hens :hmm

Oh dear... i will accept this since i know you know your Brahmas! :gig But now what do i do with Salt and Flappy who look to be roos as well? :hmm:th:barnie
If i have enough females it should be ok to have them all together or should i finally make that male pen?:caf:confused:

So besides my many boys problem....
it stormed last night so I got to work digging more holes!!! :pop:bow While i worked i let the big girls free range! :celebrateThey had a blast! Until it started to get dark again.

The temp run... very sad looking but new tarp position keeps the rain out nicely! It also keeps them cooler. The three amigos (marans) were taking turns flying at my face :rantso when i saw them gearing up again they got a tap to remember who is top hen here!
It's pouring down icecold rain now.. so digging is on hold... but i got 4 holes dug:ya, tomorrow I'll put the poles in and cover them up.
