Hiya!

I'm so late in waking up today! Chickens were not happy at all!
Today is day 10 for my incubating eggs! We had one baby quit on us, it got smelly. We're down to just 5 eggs. 3 forming babies, and two that have black dots but not sure if they'll go all the way. We took all the ones with no development or a red ring with no black dot out today... they were starting to get stinky too.

I'm excited though to see what all we'll get! Not bad for a homemade incubator! I'm wanting to save my pennies for a real incubator cuz i want to hatch lil sussex and brahma mix babies! I think Toasted and Cajun would make adorable babies! and with doing my research i think they might be good layers and meat birds, it's a project bird i'm wanting to work on.

otherwise the flock is growing and enjoying their freedom. and i'm thinking of making some fun signs for the coop and at our gate.

Here’s Lilly.. Light Brahma... this chicken is a complete whacko!! Is that the typical personality of the Brahmas... @Brahmachicken240 ...? And she has the worst voice.. she sounds like a goose .. is that typical too..?
Btw, @MysticUniKitty ... my SS Goosie.. is just about as nutty as Lilly.. and she also sounds very much like a goose AND she screams her head off!! So I don’t know if it’s just mine or these breeds.. but those two mixed might have you some weirdos!! Or my chickens be crazy

I read an article yesterday about giving chicks in the brooder things to develop their little brains. It is supposed to make them better behaved as adults

All my POL girls are sounding that way!! I'll post video of treat time. They're so silly and crazy

That one is GT... she's the one my youngest let "go on an adventure " in his bedroom wall... she's a bit different than the rest but we love her.
