Flock/Life Journey's 2019

I'm looking into doing the pvc pipes along one wall for water with those, other for food access caps for draining old and putting new in. I'm learning so much! Since we have tons of room acreage wise, I'm thinking multiple smaller coops so cleaning and heat issues are better and multiple permanent runs or one big community one with close off doors!
That is a very good plan!

Thank goodness!:hugs Where did you find corid? Wondering because i better go get some just to have it on hand!
I found it at my local feed store by the large livestock medicine area. I got the liquid form of it. :hugsI learned it crops up in brooders a lot more then coops but if very hot and humid and waterers not cleaned right it'll be there... I'm going to be more careful with waterers now!

Some happy mischief from my big chickies!!!
They have found my hiding place... they just might be planning something

Are you getting any eggs yet... besides Cajun..? How old are your oldest? I thought some of ours were near the same age...

I got the barred ones on March 1st. So their fluffy tails are 20 weeks... and free loading  :gigthey're showing all signs of getting ready to lay, wark sound, red and large combs/wattles. But i let them free range so I don't know if they might've started and I haven't found the eggs yet.

Check your weeks again... I got my first group of three this year on March 1st... I remember cuz it’s my SIL birthday... and I think they are around 23 weeks now.. all three have started laying.. and Lilly started at 20 weeks.. she has been laying for at least two or three weeks now... but still her egg is bantam size ... and she is a Brahma!! None of my first gals from last year laid tiny eggs like that... only my Silkie.... and all three.. SS, LB, and CM eggs are pretty small.. although the SS and CM eggs are getting a bit bigger... and my Cuckoo Marans.. Big Mak is one VERY large chicken! She is huge! Bigger than my BuffOrp! I really quite like her... she is a very middle of the road gal with confidence... sweet and quiet but will stand up to others if need be.. she seems to be settling in with the big gals quite nicely...

I have to admit i haven't been on top of them like i should either. Now I'm going to and I'm going out to see if i can get corid today just in case!
