Flock Party Duck Feeder?

Oh no, I didn't mean mine is for ducks. I should have posted that better. I meant i had the flock party style feeder for chickens and was sharing my lid idea, mostly because it took like 2 minutes to make haha. I already abandoned that feeder honestly because the chickens made such a mess. I finally just drank through a 5 gallon water jug to make aart's no waste feeder (i don't know how to link things from the site). First day went well with it! Could ducks use that style feeder?
Ok but the OP was talking about ducks and I was mainly replying to his/her original post I guess I did mention what you said about making a big mess though
My chickens used to live with my ducks and they got used to eating out of duck feeders and drinking from buckets lol in fact, they still prefer buckets bowls and puddles, even though they have been separated out from the ducks

Do you folks have any photos so that I might know what you are talking abour?
This is the kind that we have! I haven’t tried it yet though, I was waiting to figure out a lid situation! But I think the pie pan will work just great!

Hey there!! OP here!
We got one that is marketed for ducks since I can attest to those big ole bills chomping all over the place! I knew a chicken one wouldn’t serve the purpose, so we steered clear of it. Praying that this will be deep and wide enough for them!

I’m including a stock picture of a chicken one for comparison, but we only have the duck feeder.

I have their water for Ducks that looks just like the feeder, but without the white compartment spacers, I used it a couple of times when ducklings were getting about about three weeks old, but not yet ready to go outside, but it sure was a pain in the butt to screw together and unscrew and refill. But that’s the water one I’m talking about it was safer for a while to it use it because They couldn’t like climb into it really like they could’ve if I had given them a bucket too soon. The feeder just seems unnecessary to me. They’re going to make a mess whether it’s that kind of feeder or a flexible Heavy rubber bowl that is about the same size of a base with no thing in the middle and so much easier to clean the bowl rather than that kind of feeder with all the spacers Getting all gunky . So it’s just my opinion I do have 11 years experience with Ducks so maybe I have a little clue by now lol but honestly, I think that feeder is going to be more work.
