Well, I was able to place my flock with some very good people, so I am relieved. I hope my neighbor who complained is happy and I hope no one ever does to him/her what he/she did to me! I will now have to enjoy chickens vicarously through this forum.

Sorry about your flock!

Have you thought about coturnix quail?
Much smaller, quieter and you still get eggs.
You can keep them in a rabbit hutch.
Go check out the quail forum

Oh, NO. Don't know the details but will pray for you. Maybe it's time to pack up and move? Anyhow it's worth looking into, right. Nothing to lose, just feeling out the waters, right? Gotta try right? Nothin to lose talkin to a realestate agent, right? Keep us posted.

OOOOOH good one.

Are parrots legal?! My neighbor has one HUGE maccaw. It calls the guys name. I think it's hear his wife yelling for him. "Bob! Bob! BOB!! BOB!!!!

OOOOOOOOOOOO what about a nice little aviary of noisey finches??!!!!!

I don't know the circumstances of your having had to re-home your flock, but I'm sorry for the need to do so. I hope you can get some other species or work out some way to have some kind of fowl again.

I can't recall how many times I've come to the office door and asked my husband, "What did you need?" and he looks at me dumbfounded and says, "I didn't call you" ... I turn and look at the African gray and he literally laughs out loud... he sounds JUST like my DH...

He scared the hooey out of both of us one night when he climbed off his play gym, crossed the floor and knocked on the closed office door that leads from the office into our kitchen. We were both on our computers and we thought someone had entered our house through the living room door. My DH got up, opened the door, saw no one, and then looked down. The AG was on the floor holding one foot up to be picked up.
