Flock Raiser

I dont have it and cant get it, but hear about it all the time on here. Can somebody give me the lowdown on it ? DISREGARD already googled every thing about it. Every body must have went to bed

Flock Raiser is a general feed for ducks, chickens, and turkeys. It's basically the same thing as Layena, but without the additional calcium.

yea lot higher protien too I noticed 20 vs 16%

I've used Flock Raiser for almost 7 years with my ducks and goose and have never had one sick. I know use it for my chickens too, I just set out oyster shell for the extra calcium

I feed it to my Chickens, yard Ducks, and Geese. I offer it to my exotic ducks mixed with white millet, horse oats, and scratch as a treat. It pretty good. When my feed store doesn't get it in and I have to buy Layena the chickens even turn their noses up at it. They want their Flock Raiser

Shawn if your feed store carries Layena they can order you Flock Raiser. If they tell you other wise they are lying and just don't want to order it. I did a lot of checking about the feeds and what we can get and can't get like the Purina Duck feed which isn't made and any of the southern plants. I am checking prices on Southern States Floating Duck food. If a good bit cheaper than Mazuri I am going to get hubbie to get me about 10 bags when he goes to Palm Bay to visit his Mom at Christmas. You may be able to get that where you are. Just google Southern States feed

Another great thing to check on is with your local Minonites, where I live they grow there grains and harvest, and you can buy for just example: A barrel of corn, barrel of wheat, barrel of what ever, and they have a list of ingredients they can add by the pound, and they will grind, crush, or crack for you here in my area one ton is $345 which is a lot better than buying by the bags from feed store and the combination I use of grains give me a ground feed with 28% protein, I also drive 50 miles one way once a month to a feed store that has Bulk 16 % pellets, I give $10.00 for a hundred pounds, and buy a thousand pounds monthly, it is produced by Southern States, it is actually a cattle blend food, but ducks love it, I give this to my geese because geese don't need alot of protein, it causes them health issues.
