Flocks not integrating

Sorry to hear of your integrating troubles! It can be a hard thing for sure. My most trusted and go to method is the "night integration". I add lot's of things they can climb up on or hide in so they can get away from the flock and also take some treats (I usually use my goat's grain or something small) to throw in the whole run so everyone can get some, idk if it actually helps but I feel like it brings some togetherness to the flock. When it's pitch dark out I take the new comers and place them on the highest perch. It seems to work out most times-either the other birds don't even notice or they see they're on the top perch and don't fight them as much. I don't recommend doing this with roosters however since they will fight way worse than the hens most of the time. It sounds like you're doing great job, I hope this helps 😁

Help, my original flock of five 3.5 year old eastereggers will not let the new flock of 4 integrate. We did all the methods I've read about. They shared the large outdoor space separated by chicken wire for over 2 months, we only provided treats at the fence line. I brought each older chicken to meet the new flock one by one. Then when we moved them over they were and are still like mean girls. They run them off from treats and even chase them out of the coop. Even the roosters that are part of the new group are afraid. They have had over 2 months living together to get along, but they still don't. There are tons of tifts and they all try to stay separated.

Now I've got another group of 4 girls that I'm trying to integrate. I've tried to bring the girls over in small durations and both flocks pick on them. I can't have 3 flocks of fighting hens. Why are they not trying to get along?
I usually use the let them work it out method. Many wont agree but if one of them gets too mean, they get the hose and I yell 'no'. In the future, just 'no' works. They get snacks 2 or 3 times a day and spread them out in many different spots so no fussing. City folk drop off chickens on me they decided they didnt want to deal with but usually 3 or more. Quarantine a week then start letting them out. Not sure what to do with just 1 though.
