Floor for chicken coop run

Thanks
Turns out it is HC but our apron is small and not folded up/attached to anything. My husband has placed rocks on the edges which makes me uncertain this will hold up.
I'll review the pics with him and see what we need to change.

I think at this point it is HC
PAVERS inside the coop (above the HC
deep pine shavings

Without the pavers it would be
HC
DIRT
PINE SHAVINGS

Is a deep layer of pine shavings on top of small landscaping stones a suitable bed for a chicken run?
Or..
Plain dirt under/over chicken wire?
Or small rocks over chicken wire?

Looking for advice for health of chicken and ease of cleaning. Thanks!
I used a few inches of washed construction sand and use a kitty litter scoop to pick up their poo. I have 8 chickens and just scoop up the poo whenever I go in the run to visit and give them little treats, so I guess I pic up a few times a day. I like their area to be really clean since I hang out in their a lot:)

I think what works best for you really depends on your flock size your coop location and where you are located as far as weather. Sand works wonderfully for some people and for other people said they would never use it again. It works great for some runs and not for others. Just like I know that deep litter method works good for certain types of coops and runs and not others. Personally I like to use aspen shavings inside their coop. But I like to use straw in the run. Only a small portion of our run is covered to stay dry. It’s all covered with hardware cloth But put sheet metal over a small portion of the run. I noticed that the pine shavings become a mess when they get wet and the straw does too but I feel not as much. But I have a friend who’s got a cover to run and would prefer to use shavings over straw any day. I think the chickens like either. Just out of curiosity is there a reason for the pavers? Is it covering the entire floor of the run

As others said, pass on the pavers (extra work for maybe not a lot of payoff) and do an apron instead. Lawn staples are cheap and a good way of holding down the apron instead of rocks or other things, which can actually cause pests to dig closer at the edge of the apron and possibly breaching it that way.
