floppy comb

Well, it has Naked Neck in its genetics, or is all Naked Neck. I looked up Naked Neck in the APA breed book for Standard of Perfection. APA is American Poultry Association. There are European versions of standards as well, and they can differ from the American standards.

According to the book, the comb on a Naked Neck is “single, medium size, set firmly on head thick at base, straight and upright, with five evenly serrated points. Those at the front and rear shorter than those in the middle; blade slightly following contour of skull.”

Of course, yours may have other genetics causing the comb to fall over.

Excellent info. Thanks, I didn't have my standard book with me to give the full description.

Then s my pullet also dont fit in standars for nacked neck, beacuse of comb.

You are in Croatia, so not sure if standards where you are would be different. But having 2 different combs on M/F isn’t going to get a consistent offspring. Were you wanting pure naked necks? Do you raise chickens for meat, for eggs, for selling chicks?

Hadn't noticed that. APA standard won't apply then.

I raise for eggs, and meat rarely.. I dont bother pure breed or not, i have only 10 chichen and the necked cockorel with Floppy comb Will be my first rooster ever so i want keep him and maybe have chicks.

I was just in panic is everything good with his comb and ask is it rarely to cockorel or rooster have floppy comb.:frow
