Floppy combs

I have brown leg horns 5months old. There combs are not standing up. Is there something wrong with them?

Is their someone that knows if you can train a roosters comb to standup???? its so large it covers his eye and makes it retain moister and get puffy! this is roo and he is a sweetheart!!!!!

As far as I know combs just do what they do. There is no way to alter their shape. Sorry. He seems like a sweet boy.

I have a question about large floppy combs, two of my chickens have this. One is a red sex link, I believe, and the other is a buff orpington. Is it possible that keeping them on grower while my other 4 younger pullets caught up (yes they had free choice oyster) caused their combs to grow rather big and floppy? My third laying hen that is the same age (barred rock) has a normal sized comb. Just curious because when I google pictures of the 2 breeds with floppy combs, the size and floppiness doesn't seem typical. They are healthy otherwise and I believe their combs only flop over because they are too large to stand up.

Often, large, red, and plump combs are just a sign of a good layer. If they are acting normal and fine, I would not worry.
