Hi,

Some of my 5 hens combs are beginning to to flop over. I noticed this about a week ago on one and now on a couple of others.
Info on the web indicates this could be a sign of health problems, but they all appear healthy and viorous. I checked them for external parasites and saw none.

Is there another non-health related reason the combs would flop over?
Thanks.

Oh, I need to know too! The same thing is happening to mine..I thought it was due to their laying.

Interesting comment about the laying. All mine began laying over the last month.

Regarding breeds, I've got a white rock, Rhode Island red, Buff Orpington, Black Australorp & Americauna. The WR comb is flopping the most, the RIR and Buff a little.

I did read that it is normal for Leghorns.
