FuzzyButtsFarm I see you have brown leghorns in your signature line. Do you have any pics? What can you tell me about egg size, color, and production?
I ask because I ordered some buff leghorn hatching eggs and was really surprised that the eggs weren't the chalky white color that I was accustomed to from my hatchery white leghorns. On top of that, the eggs weren't as large as my hatchery leghorns.

Nava you are such a wonderful organizer. I got to this thread via FuzzyButts signature line that I saw on the other thread you started with all the Florida BYC members on it

The Brown Leghorns are 16 wks old and are not laying yet, but they are close. I do have a couple of pics. It was the second day since I finished their run and are shittish about coming outside.



 
After all the work of dividing the run etc. They still prefer to stay in the barn

even after the sun it going down and its in the shade. They have been the hardest to get used to people

but they are getting better. I'm just glad the roo isn't aggressive. They are so different that the white leghorns I used to have.
