Do you have any Cornish hatching eggs? I'm considering putting my dogs on a raw chicken diet. For myself I'm planning to grow Dorkings, but for the pups I'm thinking fastest, cheapest meat bird out there is the way to go...

All I have is 1 hen and I'm hatching them all till I get a good flock, they are bantams too

Yay!! I have pips... I have these tiny white eggs hatching that are from my Golden Hamburg and also my Redcap, seems that they always hatch first and the cuckoo marans last!!

Darn it.. i bet i'll be up in the night checking to see what's going on.. I know it's not necessary I just can't help myself.

Anyone in North Forida (Keystone Heights) interested in Marrauduna Basque Euskal Oiloa; I have a large hatch scheduled for this weekend. Day olds to 3 weeks are $6 each straight run. And I'm darn near ready to give away some cockerels. I have about 20 extra boys coming outta my ears! Not all the boys are Basque. I have severel Rhodebars as well. I know there are swaps coming up, I just don't have free weekend time to go. I'm more busy on the weekends than the weekdays around here. I love to barter. Just don't need any more chickens. I am in full production mode already! Growing out a couple new breeds (more than one line too) and don't have the coop space to quaranteen new outside additions. I like plants that grow food! Need a few more Carolina Raspberry bushes. Plum, pear, or pecan trees are needed. Could always use tin for roofing or pen dividers. There are tons of items I could barter for, but don't want to choke up this thread with my list.

Also...has anyone in my area bought sand by the truck load and had it delivered...if so, please share your info on suppliers and cost. Thanks a bunch!!!

Not sure what type of chick that is but sounds interesting! I'll have to go and research that one.

I'm over in the "burg" right around black creek.I use Stone plus on Blanding by the Lowes for sand, potting soil, top soil, fill dirt, pavers, and rocks.Good prices and they will deliver, although since I have a truck I usually get my own stuff.Just put in 2 raised beds this year and used a mix of thier potting soil and top soil to fill them.Works great!!

Very nice chickens!! I'm tempted but hubby would not be happy to see me bring home more chicks this year.I can't really have a rooster here either since the neighbors house is so close so straight run chicks are usually not really ann option for me.Would love to have some eventually though!!From the reveiws I see they are a great dual purpose breed.I would eventually like to be self suffcient in a few years by producing my own birds instead of having to buy chicks every year for meat and eggs, just have to figure out the rooster situation, lol!!
