I'm new to this site. From Florida. I have a question. A predator killed my only rooster 4 days ago. I still collected my daily eggs and put them in the fridge. This morning I got the idea that I'd like to incubate some eggs. Will any of the eggs the chickens lay today be fertile? It has been four days since the rooster was breeding them.
Also, he was a silver laced Wyandotte and the hens are Rhode Island Red

The eggs should be fertile for 2 weeks or so. I have hatched them after 3 weeks....stan

We're in Lakeland. So for the next two or three weeks we can still get fertile eggs to incubate? That's great. We've never incubated any before. Gonna to go to Tractor Supply today and buy an incubator! Thanks for the help.
