i was looking at the map because i do drive to north florida sometimes, and could save one for you but heck.. I see that there are almost NO roads between
the turnpike and melbourne. how weird is that.! i could meet you at yeehaw junction or kissimmee or something let me know... i think my next trip will happen
in mid October, i have to drive to Atlanta.. Yeuk!! (the drive i mean)

Thanks. Meeting would definitely be an option. Melbourne is off I95 on the east coast so the turnpike doesn't come over this far. How much are you asking for one of the roos and do you have pictures that you could post or send? I hurt my back a couple years ago working on cars so long drives kill me. About an hour is my max so I couldn't see myself driving to Atlanta. Hope the drive goes by quickly for you. Thank you again. I really appreciate the offer to meet and hope we can work something out.

We are going to the Dunnellon Swap tomorrow. We are helping my brother in law look for some laying hens. Apparently my niece, in 9th grade, submitted her proposal for her science fair experiment using their chickens. But of course something got some of them this week. They have reinforced the pen and need some replacements. If anyone has some layers that they can part with, they sure like to meet someone at the Dunnellon swap tomorrow morning. Thanks, :)

There will be plenty of birds there.

I am building a new coop with a covered pen and will be looking for some chickens in the early spring.
Are there any breeders of Ameraucanas or Araucanas in the Ft. Myers area.
It would be great if there was one within reasonable driving distance.
I'm not looking for show stock, so SOP is not critical, but I love the blacks, blues and splash.
My goal is to have some beautiful chickens who lay beautiful colored eggs.
I have a few Young EEs and would love to continues on those lines.
What could be prettier than a basket of lovely blue and green eggs?

I'm also interested in the LARGE breeds like JG, Langshan, Java, Brahma.
I would love to hear from any breeders in the area.
