I'm in East Palatka Fl off 207 about 18 miles west of St Augustine so I must be fairly close to where you are. My coop is set up with water nipples so they would be right at home. Right now I have no other birds so they would be christening my new coop. My name is Gary my # is 386 530 0022 I could pick them up at your convienence.FREE: 6 Week 4 Day old Easter Egger's I would have put a title, but I'm lost. I had put this up thinking I was in the Florida thread, but it came up in "Where am I? Where are you?" (Outside of the Florida thread.) This is the only thing I could think to do. (I'm not the brightest bulb, ya know?) I'm interested in the birds I live in east Palatka Off of rte 207 which is about 18 miles west of St. Augustine FL I bought these from mypetchicken. I ordered six Easter Egger pullets and the invoice has pullets checked-marked. I'm a new chicken owner, so at this age, I can't tell how accurate they were. (No eggs, no crow yet
) They are just now starting to get their colors in. I'll post a pic or two and can provide more if anyone is interested. They did NOT get any vaccine's, but have been on medicated chick crumbles since they arrived. They arrived chirpy and seemed totally oblivious to their trip. I've not had any problems with them since their arrival. The reason for their rehoming is, I found six older, yet-to-lay Easter Egger pullets. I have a 6x10' coop which was just finished, but without a run. (Run to come, but not soon enough for these fast, growing youngster's.) Since I am a new chicken owner, I don't feel confident enough to have a layout for such a spread in age. Frankly, I'm afraid the older birds will peck the little ones to death and cause too much stress, that the older birds may not lay. My setup would be hard to split in half and I feel, too small to put a pen inside the 8x10' coop. I'm about 30 miles SW of St. Augustine, 60 miles SW of Jacksonville, 50 miles East of Gainesville, and 45 miles NW of Daytona Bch. If anyone is interested, I could possibly meet you part of the way, but you would have to pay for my gas round-trip. These cuties are free, but please, only to someone who already has a coop or setup ready for them. They haven't been handled much as my other rehomed ALL eight male juvenile, Easter Egger's were. Those were from a poultry farmer. (I did not choose wisely...) I don't have an empty bin, so you'd have to bring your own. As of right now, I only have 5-7 pounds of their food left. If there is any left, you can have that. They have been drinking out of a water nipple setup, so they know what that is and, of course, a regular water container. So the pics... as I noted, they are 6 weeks and 4 days old and are just now getting their their beards back. They are in that "in-between" stage. Please let me know asap, so I have time to buy more feed and shavings if no one wants them here. I won't put them on Craigslist until a week from now. I'm hoping someone, here, will want them.
