FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Mijn schoonzus woont in Gelderland. Zij woont in Harderwijk. Thanks for the warm welcome :)

met vriendelijke groet,

Ashlie

Mijn man is oorspronkelijk uit Massachusetts.

yeah I grew up in New Port RIchey. I was born in NY but i moved to FL when I was 5 so for all intents and purposes i'm a floridian. I met my husband in Feb of 2011. My friend and I had went to Amsterdam on vacation and I met him and I never went home lol. I did end up going back for a few months in 2012 because my sister got sick and i had to help her with the kids but she is better now and then i returned home to Amsterdam. I dont have chickens now because the home owners association doesn't allow it. I'm sure you know how strict rules can be here.

I had chickens in Florida though but they were just pets not even for their eggs but just because i like chickens lol. I also had chickens when i lived in New Orleans and they were just pets also. My free range house chickens lol. They'd sleep in bed with me. (diaper on of course) I guess i'm a bit eccentric lol. They were the sweetest birds and loved to cuddle. I just think chickens are great animals all around and everyone should have them. There is a chicken for everyone! I'll have chickens again some day but it wont be until i get my husband to move to the US. I know that won't happen until his parents die though but they are quite old already. not that im hoping for that or anything they're nice people. Its just ridiculous the cost of everything here in relation to what you actually get for your money. For the price of my home here I could own a home in florida 5 times bigger with a much bigger piece of property that i actually own instead of lease from the government. I know not all of the Netherlands is like that but Amsterdam is. You have to rent the land despite owning the house.

id like to get into breeding chickens when I eventually get back to Florida or wherever in the US i wind up. So in the mean time i'm being productive and studying about chickens on here and online and such so when the time comes i'll be ready to go. The chickens I had before I don't even know what they were. The first set I had came from a feed store and that was many many years ago and then in new orleans they were chicks given to me from the wild chickens in the neighborhood whose mother got eaten. I don't know what kind they were either. Its not uncommon in new orleans, or at least in the part where i lived, to see chickens just running around lol.

If I had my way i'd have flocks upon flocks of various chicken breeds. I like so many different types its going to be hard to just choose a few. I'd like some other animals as well like muntjac deer, wallabies, and various parrots. In a perfect world i'd have a big 2 acre walk in free flight aviary like you'd see in a zoo. I guess I better win the lotto. ok well i've rambled on enough lol. i tend to do that. It was great talking to you :)
