FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Have onions, lettuce, peas, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and soon potatoes too. My DH and some of his helpers. The frost covers.
I like your frost covers. Mine are old sheets and they weigh down the tomato plants. I also have Seminole peas, broccoli, sweet potatoes, spinach, celery, kale chard, rutabagas, bride eggplant, strawberries, and some fruit trees. But I have a very shady yard and I haven't gotten any harvest yet.

We have 8 in our newest flock. We had 19 which included 9 Rir 8 black sex link one bantam and one EE roo (who is in my profile picture) we lost them to a dog we had taken in who got in and killed all but two and then those two were in our flock after that and a predator got into our coop and killed them all :/ now we have 4 EEs and we have 2Rir and 1 barred rock and 1 barred rock EE roo and then we have 2 bantams and 2 eaten hens! I want more too!! I'm obsessed with my babies!

Me too! Totally obsessed with getting more chicks! I think we are getting a mini pig...not that mini...in Feb. what is we? I want some Rhode Island Red and some fancier ones. My daughter wants one in the pic I hope to attach, but I'm thinking more than one rooster may be too many, lol.

Just a reminder of our swap this coming Saturday. If you are planning on attending, dress warm as the forecast is for a chilly day. Hope to see you there...

We have a lot of buyers but need more sellers/vendors.
People getting together. If you are just thinking about chickens or small livestock or already have an established flock, then you won't want to miss these events. Come join us for a day of talking, swapping and selling poultry and small livestock. Swap stories and information. Have some chickens you need to rehome, maybe Rabbits, goats, a calf, pigs, eating eggs or hatching eggs to sell? How about some pieces of old farm equipment, a small tractor, harrow or what have you. Maybe you have plants and trees. Also things like soaps and lotions, etc., made from (example) goats milk are ok to sell. What are you going to do? Bring it on down to the Farm Swaps. We suggest vendors bring either a canopy or umbrella, there are some shaded areas, some open areas. These are farm swaps only so we ask that there are no flea market or garage sale items. Tell your neighbors, tell your friends, heck we don’t care if you tell your enemies. Meet us for a beautiful day of buying, selling or swapping your farm related wares. As Always, No Fees! Come join us for our Monthly Farm Swaps @

Does TSC in Plant City have a scheduled Swap. Thanks for this scedule.

I live in the city and my county allows 5 hens only and only with a permit but I won't be in this house forever. We will move in the next 5-6 yrs and have plenty of land a bit from the city so we can have as many of whatever we want.
I just pray I don't get chicken fever and start the chicken math I've been reading about over the last year!!!
I guess i've never thought too much about city life. I'm in Callahan so that I can have the convinience of Jax right nearby but the awesome country type feel. Although technically im not even in Callahan. makes like alot easier that way.

Good luck headed outta the city though
