FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

So here's a question;
Every time I walk up to the pen my roo squats down real low and does a little jig with his feet. like he's excited i'm there.. It doesn't seem like a rooster dominance dance but i could be wrong.. it's the cutest **** thing I've ever seen a chicken do, h'es knows i usually pick him up and he loves being petted, so could this be him being excited to be picked up or am i just crazy and he's either scared of being dominant? I'll try to get video today.
What breed? That is so cute!

I have electric around my coops and pens. I have heard critters come in contact with it. I guarantee that they won't come back and test it again. I do put roundup under the wire to keep the grass and weeds from growing under it. and onto it.
Oh my gosh Fort Knox!!!

You are one of his girls so he is dancing for you.

Hey if anybody is interested in a Yokohama rooster, send me a pm. I'm only interested in selling him to somebody in FL, and I wanted to give everybody here a heads up before I post an ad on Craigslist.

Day 13 of picking up my 3 pullets and placing them on the roost in the coop. These birds really need to get over their ladder fright!

Any tips? I tried strawberries at the top. That didn't even work and they are pigs. It's not to steep and its 6" wide. Plenty of grips....

I was debating taping or gluing some sandpaper down on the ladder, for extra grip. Also debating a trail of mealworms.... :) putting the girls in their coop starting this week for part of their outside time.

Happy day. Just went to put them to bed and they were all up in the coop. Perched on the edge and not on the roost, but it's a start! I'll take it!
