FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Thank you so much :) I'm just a little confused because I read somewhere that quail fall under the game bird category and therefore not restricted to the extent of chicken and other poultry, do you know if they count quail in the bill/permit?
Hey, it does include quail. Just thought I'd let you know. The inspector will be at our farm tomorrow as well as the NPIP agent, so I can ask any questions you may have. Just let me know.

Hello everyone, I am located in palm beach county and I'm thinking of starting a small scale quail egg selling project. After doing some research on the laws around the sale of eggs in Florida I discovered that there is a lot of confusing information. I am thinking of selling them to friends/family as well as farmer markets and the public, but all the information I am coming across is based on chicken eggs (packaging, grading, and permits..etch) if someone has the experience and knows what I should be doing within the law for that to be possible. thank you for your time, Mateo
To sell fertile eggs out of the state you have to get a NPIP permit but to sell them in the state you don't.

Hi!
Is this thread still active? I’m having a hard time joining and posting.
Thank you!

Hi! I'm in Alachua county :frow

I'm still learning the ins and outs of the laws here, but I'm zoned AG and have 5 acres. I am hoping to make my property into a mini-farm of sorts and am somewhat into the homesteading thing. This is all temporary though because my husband wants to leave FL as soon as he finishes school and works here for a year.

Hello all. I haven't taken the time to read through all 1900+ pages. Is anyone here from the Tallahassee/Leon county area? I would like to attend a swap, never been to one but it sounds like something I would really love! I just moved to Tallahassee in May and would like to get to know some new people.

I have a question, my chicks (11 of them, 8 weeks old) have always slept huddled together (in the brooder) now that they are in the coop, I can't get them to sit on the roost. Will they learn this on their own or do I need to teach them?

They will probably learn but if your worried they won't you could sit one or two of them on the roost.
