FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Our pullets are:
(1) 8 month old Golden Comet - not laying yet...😕
(1) 5 month old Black Australorp
(1) 5 month old Buff Orpington

Working on current pictures - they move much faster than my phone can react so I need to find the "real" camera to get decent pictures. We are in north central FL and chickens are new to us this year so looking forward to learning much from you all, especially climate specific issues.
Hope everyone is enjoying the "cooler" weather and making progress on hurricane clean up.

Looking for a domestic home (Farm, Homestead, etc.) for three rescued Muscovy Ducklings. They are currently on Day 5 and are imprinted on each other rather than me. Please PM me if anyone is willing to take these babies in. I do have some essentials I can pass on such as a heat lamp and a big bag of duckling starter.

If anyone has experience pairing week old ducklings to a mama duck to show them how to survive in the wild that would work well too.

How exciting! We have Silverudd Blues growing out and look forward to their green eggs with brown speckles. We have blue egg layers but none lay as big as those ladies are giving you.
I am new here and not sure if I am posting in the right place. I have an emergency, I have to move next week and can’t take my 9 beautiful hens. I’ll drop them off anywhere in South Florida this weekend. Please text me if you want them. 4 years old

Welcome to BYC. I am so sorry you cannot take your hens with you. They are gorgeous. I wish we could take them - we have stringent legal constraints on numbers. Best of luck with your move.

beautiful Silkies, not familiar with the other breeds, will look them up, I usually try to buy from local sources, support the local farmers, however every now and again if im looking for specific poultry that I cant find in the area, I order from Murray McMurray Hatchery in Webster City, Iowa, healthy, live chicks, always true to breed, arrivals. prayers go out to you folks up further North from us in Miami, such brutal storms!

There are smalls chicks nearby my house that I haven’t seen with their mom since Tuesday. On Wednesday I saw 5, all black, today I only saw 2. I think the mom might have gotten stranded somewhere and the chicks are lost. This is on sw 24th st, Miami, between sw 27th Avenue and sw 29th Avenue. If anyone wants to care for them, I can help you gather them. I just sold my coop and can’t care for them. Photo is from Wednesday.
