On more feathered news...MY CHICKIES ARRIVED!!!!

I nearly vibrated out of the post office yesterday I was so excited. They're in the brooder, have figured out how to drink out of the hamster bottles (they had some open water, too, yesterday) and are just TOO CUTE! I totally understand the chicken addiction, now.

I got four! A sicilian buttercup, an exchequer leghorn, light brown leghorn, and a turken. I posted pictures on the forum:

Just had 3 out of 5 boxes of eggs arrive today, another two set to be here tomorrow. Have 12+ Blue Wheaten Americana, 12 Lavendar/Lav Split Americana, 12+ Olive Eggers, 60+ quail sitting and resting currently.

on the way: 12+ EE's under a Lav Americana roo (these will be our second round from this source) and more quail.

my EE's are from Bargain and hubby loves them best of all my EEs to date.

The Lavs came from Louisiana and the blue wheatens came from Illinios. I have a second order of Lavs placed to ship with more quail this fall too. These are all for my breeding pens we hope to have eggs an chicks from starting next spring. I will let you know how the hatches come along. We have 1 chick from the first Bargain hatch that has dark slate legs and is looking to be a uniform slate/blue lav color so hoping for more this time.
