Altamonte Springs. from Lake Wales. You joined at a good time as we are planing a chicken swap. To get back to that subject. I am not restricted on any kind of animal. I am zoned light agriculture. My property used to be a tropical fish farm. That's why all the ponds are here.
You have to be responsible for your own animals. I have power and water in the barn, work shop, carport and tack shack. My well is a agriculture well with a 5 hp. motor and is 300 ft. deep so I have a more than adequate water supply. On the down side I uh...only have 2 bathrooms. LOL I'm looking forward to getting this together.

Hi All and Welcome to all the new Florida BYCers,

It's that time again...... Alright all of you Breeders with the hatching gene..... :D

With all the new people and it being spring, time to list what breeds and what you have available here local for sale. I have some people from my work looking for birds.

SO IT'S SHOW AND TELL TIME!!!!!

Please list what you got along with ages and info.

Thanks so much, this could help out some of the new to chickens people. I know when I first joined and asked for info on birds, the outpouring of information sure helped me.

And now I say with pride (Hi my name is Maye and I have an addiction to Chickens and BYC....) Thank-you All my new Florida BYC Friends and Enablers!!!!

Maye, great idea.

:) hi to all of the new members!

I am Shellie, my family and I have a small farm right outside the gates to the space center on Merritt Island.

Our son breeds and raises Black Copper Marans. He has a very start on his flock, and will have hatching eggs available this summer. He will also set and hatch for you if you don't want to deal with an incubator.

My husband has the following flocks of ducks: French White Muscovy, Silver Appleyard, Khaki Cambell. Hatching eggs, and or ducklings available

I handle our goose flocks. Currently breeding are: Utility Africans - no eggs as she is sitting, goslings will be available. Sebastopols, we have the potential for white, buff, lilac, grey, splash and saddleback - no hatching eggs at this time, but many goslings hatched, and still to hatch.

The farm also has a flock of Easter Egger chickens, hatching eggs and or chicks available year round. Great group of birds mostly focused on blues, creams and silver. We are trying to stay away from the typical chipmunk brown EE.

Best way to reach us, is PM here on BYC or by clicking the email link below to direct email.

Hope to attend the swap and see and meet many of you.

Hi I'm Andrea and I'm in Pinellas Park...I have had chickens for just over a year now, and am saddened to say I am as of today being forced to get rid of my chickens...(I have 6 hens- 2 RIRs, a GL Cochin, 2 silkies, and an olive egger), and one RIR rooster...I don't blame my neighbors for complaining, as we all know roosters (I became attached and couldn't find him a home that wouldn't eat him, so I kept him :( well, it's caught up to me, and though I thought I was allowed to have hens, the city says no...my ex is going to house my hens legally in St. Pete, so now I'm desperately trying again to find my 1yo RIR rooster, Big Red, a home (that won't eat him)...he's protective of his ladies, gets along with my lab, but hates and chases the cat...so if anyone is interested in adding him to their flock (i dont want to see him passed around from home to home, and isnt going to eat him (long shot, I know)) please let me know...sigh... :(
