FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

They are awesome... I just got 10 marans wheaten chicks and 10 black tailed buff chicks and they took their leg bands off :(... but now I know what they look like when they grow up so i can sort them out again :)... very pretty..
Thanks!
btw, here's what the eggs look like compared to two 'regular' brown eggs from our Red Stars:

We're very proud of them and people are starting to demand just the Maran's eggs.
Also, according to the books, they have the added plus of being the only eggs James Bond will eat!

This is Suzi... Ingrids daughter. Some of you I know to those I dont Hello. I posted the news of Moms passing on a new member thread as I decided I could benefit from "Chicken Club" like mom did. Im still in shock and overwhelmed at the suddenness of her illness. Im spending most of the.time talking to the chickens .... I.posted on."raising baby birds" thread I woke up to 7 baby bantams. Ive tried to post pix but im limited to my mobile phone as my beloved :p brother has moms pc. Its a blessing to have the bantams breeding and raising their own. I let them do the work. If anyone is.interested in.incubators...mom has three one.of them she made out of a.small fridge. I also am downscaling the number of breeders and layers she had. Still recovering from fractures to my leg and hip... I cant keep up the pace she mastered with 0ver 150 birds. No bantams are for sale at this time. With this post im.going to try posting pix of the babies. Hopefully someday my bro will bring the computer back so I can.post.pix and get info ...and have some communicating with poeple!!!
Im.having a bbq saturday 2-2-13. nobody could come this weekend and Most of moms friends are on this thread. I.hope to get to chat and meet again.soon!!

Hi Suzi,
My sincerest condolences on Ingrid's passing. I didn't know her that well, but enjoyed chatting on here with her about the Aussies she got from me. She turned that small hatch into a very nice flock from what I understand. I was going back and forth with her a little the week she passed and could not believe it. She had just come home and they had told her it might be cancer, "we'll see" she told me the day before I heard the news. Hope you are doing better and all is being taken care of there. I know it is a lot of work to do what she did and can at times seem overwhelming. It will get easier as you build a routine. Glad to see you post. ..........stan

My bro visited her in the hospital. I knew she was sick...real sick... but she diddnt tell me it was cancer . She just pushed me away told me id thank her later. She wanted to be "left alone" * u cant tell a retired nurse to see a dr. She knew long time ago but kept it to herself. Maybe it was denial maybe stubnornness or pride. But ive read when.it matasitises in the brain, behavior, logic and emotions go haywire. Ive got a lot on my plate and questions , many only she could answer. I told her Id keep a flock and rthe bantams. My 15 yr old mini collie died the morning after also so its been rough.
