I'm in Tampa. Has anyone had problems with red spider mites? If so what did you use?

I use garden sevin dust. I put a mask around my nose and mouth towel around my chickens had have somebody hold the chicken turn them upside down Dust them under the wings around the vent and also put the chest. I do this twice separating by seven days. As always works for me. Make sure the chickens have an area where the contest themselves which helps. The word of caution if you have one clock that has them in the other flocked is not be sure they don't get together in a run or are exposed to each other.

I use Diatemaces Earth, sprinkle in and around coop. Some are against it, but Id rather dust my coop than have to dust my birds.
I have not seen lice, nor mites on my girls or in their coop. But this is just me, you have to do what works for you.
