Talk away Floridians or share pictures, and hope to see all of you some day at a swap. If you have stuff that you want to offer to your neighbors, you can post here too.

I see you found the original post for the Florida thread. I also want to say
welcome-byc.gif
and the Florida thread.

Just thought I'd mention this here - the farm swap in TSC's parking lot in Palatka is this Saturday, and I will be bringing a good number of birds. The forecast says rain, but this being Florida, one can never tell. Anyway, I'll be bringing all of my Meaties side project birds: Spikey and the Red Broiler hens, plus Bertha, the two older pullets Miss Meathead (Sept hatch) and Miss Meatie (October hatch), the nine hatched Feb 18th, and the twelve hatched Match 19th, plus some half-Wyandotte, half Black Sex Link chicks, and at least three GLWs from the Jan 10th hatch, though I will be making phone calls tomorrow about these from folks who previously expressed interest in my GLWs. Any birds that don't sell at the swap will go into the auction Saturday evening (Putnam County fairgrounds, starting at 5:30 PM).

Spikey and one of the Red Broilers, pictured last July ... he is a LOT wider now.

I have a Barred Rock I was going to bring to TSC in Palatka this Saturday but I've never done a swap. I'm thinking it may be a rooster (will be 4 weeks saturday) and I was pretty much going to give it away. Will there be people willing to take a possible rooster? Where I live, I can't have roos and I'm wanting to give it away before i get too attached.

Probably. People bring definite roosters all the time.
