Yes we have.. Lol, and I was caught Friday twice.. Completely soaked both times.. SMH..

Fortunately for me, the rain let up long enough for me to get home from work on Friday without getting soaked. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get any fencing done this weekend.

I had to collect the eggs in the rain. I have some fencing work to do too but I'm going to wait until it gets cooler out. This old lady can't take the heat like I used to. I had chicken wire up but put welded wire up, so now I'm in the process of taking down the chicken wire where I put up the welded wire. Chicken wire only lasts a few years before it has to be replaced. It was time to replace it. Most of the welded wire is up. there is still a couple of places where I still need to put it up but had put new chicken wire up not that long ago so I'm not so concerned with replacing it right away. I can wait for the cooler weather. I have some work to do on some of the coops too but going to wait until it's cooler weather for that also.

Anyone know of hatching eggs available in Polk County, Lakeland area? I am interested in LF, colored eggs, one dozen fertile hatching eggs that I can pick up. I haven't had much luck with hatching shipped eggs, so I am hoping to find someone local to buy from. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

It's been smokin hot here in Jacksonville the past few days, upper 90's with a breeze blowing that feels like a blast furnace. I'll never complain about cold temps again.
My chickens are loving the ice water and fans. We're loving the a/c lol!

Hey folks, been on here for years. Moved out of state for a time and when we first moved back we couldn’t have chickens so we reformed all of ours. We are back where we can have chickens again, and some of our children have plans to show chickens for 4H this year. So we are looking for some birds, of a few different varieties. Anyone know of some one selling chicks or maybe eggs?
