FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Here in western West Palm Beach there is a feed store that has diatomaceous earth in 40# bags for $29.99. This is a special they're only running until the bags they have in stock run out. After that it's 50# bags for $45.99. Here's a link to the store http://www.insiderpages.com/b/15238190667/red-barn-feed-supply-inc-loxahatchee If you're coming from a far distance I'd call them first to make sure they have what you want.

Help! I woke up the other day to crowing from my backyard! One of my chickens is NOT a chicken! "Rainbow" is a rooster! She...I mean, uh, HE is marvelous but I can't keep him. Chickens are allowed where I live but not roosters. Rainbow is just shy of 3 months old...I need to find him a home. I live in Jacksonville. Would any BYC folks near me be willing to give him a new home? He's a white Barred Rock and he's huge!!!! Breaks my heart...the thought of losing him...but I can't keep a rooster...that's a no-no here. Please help! Thank you!

OK, just watch the chicks. Several people have dealt with cocci from them and respitory issues. Since they have never touched the ground , it traces back to them. I had to kill all my meat birds. Good luck.....................

OMG, did they at least refund you or anything?

I'll be sure to keep mine quarantined for a while before I introduce them to my flock. Thanks for the advice!

no because i split it with a girl and it was her order. She never dealt with getting a refund so i was out................ now i am scared to use them and i just buy locally to support local breeders and such. Thank god i didn't have them on the ground and near my other chickens.

Oh well crap, thats not good! If it was me you splt the order with I'd have been on the phone the next day complaining for you! I couldn't imagine that I had the power to possibly make it right and just not do anything...

I've got a few chicks coming in from McMurray on someone elses order so I'm looking forward to see what they're like. The feed store in Jupiter Farms orders from Ideal when the weather is ore cool so when that time comes I'll place an order for a few through them.

I prefer to buy locally too and don't mind paying for shipping for quality chicks from someplace else, but sometimes you just can't always find what you're looking for.

does anyone have an incubator that we could borrow?? We would like to try to hatch some eggs!! The eggs we buy to eat are free range and they are ALL fertilized! Don't think my kids liked knowing that! LOL

We thought it would be really cool to hatch some...even though we can't have anymore for our own flock!

BLessings!!
Kelly
