Hi Patti tell us a little bit more about your self, what kind of chickens do you have like or want
and welcome to the Florida thread
I am a stay at home mom of two daughters--12 yrs and 9 yrs old. Married for 13 yrs. This is the 2nd time we have tried to raise chickens. Last year we got 7 chicks from the feed store. Only one survived--her name is Mrs Cluckers. She is a NHR. She has layed 3 different times--egg amounts ranged from 21-39, non fertilized. We got 6 more chicks around the first of March. I was told there are 3 EEs, two RIRs or NHRs and one Orphintington (SP?) I think they are about a month old. Right now we are still keeping them inside in an unused bathtub....we were gonna start letting them out during the day--then the storms started! We did have them out for one day--in the coop with Mrs Cluckers, but Cluckers wasn't liking it! LOL Cluckers has been free range and roosting on our front porch and the first night we were gonna keep her in the coop, she FREAKED out, so we let her out.
