FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

I didn't know that, everything that I have read says 8-10 weeks old, when they are fully feathered never this young, but then again I think most people aren't in Florida. I have the same problem with plants, I don't think anyone understands our heat. I plan on using a movable coop so I can keep it shaded. They seem to really like being out in the days I just wasn't sure about night, so far we have stayed out to watch them. Thanks for the advice.

All of ours were SOOOOO happy to be outside! I was too, as it was MY bathroom they were in when little

I have some 14 day old chicks out there and they don't need the lamp any more, but the reason I still keep it out there is because i got 7, 4 day olds out with them, but even them don't like to be under the lamp.

it's got to be the HEAT

Just wanted to say..we found a wonderful family for our 3 extra (illegal) chicks! Thankyou Gonzalez family! I could tell those chicks were going to get spoiled by your cute children. ps they love love watermelon and cantilope guts and cooked vegies

Hey! Add me to this Florida group! West Coast, Wesley Chapel, is where I am and I'm a new chicken owner! I have 4 barred rocks, 6 Production Reds, and my roo is RSL. Young birds, 2-3 months old. I find them so soothing to watch and listen to and generally be around. I think it comes from memories of my grandma's farm in MN. Hi everyone!

Hello there, small world! The little ones we got from you are doing quite well, and I guarantee they will be loved and taken good care of. Its the least we can do for you, thank you so much for them, they are simply adorable and I am sure will be gorgeous when fully grown.

Those silkies of yours are simply stunning, and the coop was likewise as beautiful. Its a shame you have been having to deal with your recent neighbors/permitting problems.

I plan on raising worms (meal and perhaps earthworms) myself someday soon. I also plan on having a large Koi fish pond, and they love those things too.
