oh yeah, they eat mice, toads and birds if they catch them. Omnivores .

Are those Black Copper Marans? My two BCMs, Penny and Bucky, had a squirrel trapped in the coop today. They worked together and wouldn't let him get through the door. I had to hold one of them so he could escape! I also have a Jersey Giant who chases any squirrel that comes within a few feet of her.

Mine run from their own shadow.I got a RIR and she runs the rest of the chickens off when I go to feed the.And the rooster stands there and lets them eat then if there is anything left then he'll eat.Such a Gental man isn't he. Unless he is scared of the rest of the hens.

Hey guys/gals, I created a post before about it but I figured this would be the best place to post again. I was looking to create a directory for all the florida breeders big/hobby whatever. Nothing fancy just something to make it easier for someone to find the right person to contact about a type of bird they are looking for. I've been looking for certain breeds and I felt like I was getting nowhere, all of them were either out of state or didn't have what I wanted and I searched the forums for hours every day and my post went unanswered.

I didn't want to order from a hatchery again, as I wanted better quality birds and want to support the local small family farmers like myself. So I started a website for people to register their information of the breeds that they have and what they sell. It's a work in progress, but I'm just trying to make it easier to find so someone doesn't have to go through all the trouble I did. http://floridapoultrybd.weebly.com Check it out, tell me what you think, what I should change, do you think it will work if it is kept up to date?
