FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

hi everyone!

newbie here ... Buckingham, FL ... just east of Fort Myers.

Almost finished with building our coop - hoping to get it completed along with our run this w/e. Looking to adopt a handful of pullets for eggs... different breeds.

We moved to 5 acres last year, re-built the barn, built a goat barn (I have Nubians and milk/cheese!), now building the chicken coop (complete with their own corian countertop) and waiting for the funds to GUT THIS HOUSE!!!

Oh, and I/we work full time (most wonderful husband in the world), have a step-son in the Army, a son away at FSU, and a step-daughter (part-time) every other w/e. Presently 6 dogs (I do rescue) and 1 cat, 14 goats and soon chickies!!!! WHEW!

Thanks, I actually would rather it be a coon (must be big to chase down a 15 pound goose) than a pack of dogs, bobcat, or something even more dangerous. I bought a trap, and have it set...didn't have time to pick up sardines, but we used cat food and a drumstick. I also got a handheld floodlight, and we're going to check every hour. Every duck that could jumped the fence and went to the lake, the rest were pacing, so we put them over. I've never seen them act so frightened - very smart creatures, I've no doubt they fully understand what happened to their goosey friend. We did a lot of crying today...I hope we can get some closure.
