aww thanks!! Yes I love love love her.. so pretty!! She is called Crush for a very touching and stupid reason. She was in my second hatch. I was sure she had died so I was trying to gently open the egg and see what had happened. WELL.. the weight of my hand just literally crushed the egg under my hand.. I heard PEEP and then the egg was leaking blood.. It was awful.. I was devastated. I put her back in.. waited.. nothing.. she laid there getting weaker and weaker.. everyone else had hatched. I started dripping SavAChick in her beak and holding her to eat and drink.. It was really touch and go for 2 weeks or so but she is a huge beautiful chicken now. I'm just luck she was a SHE

I hope you all have a safe & dryer night tonight! I just wish we could have gotten some of the rain off of your hands...

Oh & hopefully I have now talked my hubby into building me another addition to the side of the big run & adding a new coop for our silkies exclusively!! hehehehehe....

Our yard finally flooded overnight. Even though it's really irritating that the deepest water is right in front of my new pen, I can be happy the rain has stopped here in south Florida. I guess when things dry up I'll be getting a couple truckloads of dirt to fill in my swamp...gee, can't wait:/

Monday dawn saw no clouds, pretty blue sky, lots of water in ditches and lots of leaves to be raked or swept up. Feather girls are happy to have sunshine. Our total rainfall gauged out at 14.5 inches. Maybe now we don't have to worry about our well.
