Looks like a wolf in the face,But there is no wolfs in captivity.

Plenty of wolves held in captivity actually. That dog is most likely a white Samoa (or mix of) or similar breed.

Oh and thanks to the rain our main road is flooding today, only half of each lane is left when I just came back in. Yard ponds are growing again too! No letting everyone out right now.

It had better stop by tonight.. I have a 6 year old and 2 year old that are ready for trick or treating!

We took the kids lastnite to Cocoa Village to the haunted house and hay ride they had lastnite. But WOW they charged out the butt.$3 for a small bag of popcorn,$3 for a slice of pizza.I think it's way out of hand for them to charge to do something like that. But when us the TAX PAYER try to have something like that. The city or county says no you can't unless you have a permit & the permit costs $300.So whats the deal with all that.I bet if you was to go to one of their stands they won't have a permit to be selling food or what ever.I guess if they can't get their hands in it then your not gonna be having anything on your own property!.

Rain rain go away, little chickens want to play. My silkies still came out of the coop. They've surprised me as a very hearty yet sweet breed. I really like them & my marans. I'm not sure there are any breeds I don't like. Went to green meadows yesterday, in Kissimmee. This lil' baby was my fav, along with a barred rooster.

Ugh, I love them so much! Too bad I can't have crowers.

I also wanted to post & note the set-up for hawk prevention there--

They hang these blow-up balls that have shiny "eyes" almost on them, as well as bird figurines, & all sorts of kite-like spinner things.

I had a really farmy weekend. The day before I was in Bradenton picking-up 3/4 of a grass-fed cow- split into 1/8ths for me & various other friends over here on the Space Coast.

He has truly truly free-roaming chickens, & if you visit his ranch, he charges 2.75 for a dozen eggs. Thought I'd mention that for anyone who may be looking for an egg source during an egg drought. IMO, that is REALLY cheap.

He also raises pigs & meat goats & cornish-cross meat birds. Here is his site: http://thedamranch.net/

I've been buying his meat for years & we are very happy with it. He even sends us a Christmas card!

Nice setup he has there but did you know that you can hang cd's up in trees or a line of them across your yard to prevent birds of prey from getting your little ones. But I got a RIR rooster that sends out a warning to others that something is flying above. When I heard it before I went out and seen in the tree that it was a hawk and the guy next door came out and shot at it to scare it away.I don't like to kill wild life only cause they was here before us and this really isn't our land. But if it tries to harm my chickens then some means of killing will have to come.
