went to Anna Maria for 4 days and just got back I feel brand new.

xept for the part where my English orpington ( won champion in the English class in Inverness )

was killed by another roo that somehow got into it with him.

Oh Man!! You should have come by the house! I could have shown you my secret NN. We lived on Anna Maria for almost 15 years, great place. ......Welcome back.......stan

Maybe I'll stop by next time, I have to go back in a couple of weeks.

to pick up some ripe Banana Mangoes, and who Know's I just might take that NN from you, he deserves a home where the owner is actually proud. of NN's

I can see you keeping him in a very dark place and out of sight from people

Thanks Nava,
I am so sorry to hear about your rooster but at least you have the chicks........

I have a new phone coming today and thank goodness because after dropping my current one at least 100 times I dropped it while cleaning in the garage and shattered the screen. Will post more pics from the new camera as I can. My little chicks are getting tiny wing feathers and all that made it are doing well!

Morning FL peeps!

Nava welcome back home, sorry about your rooster. Looks like we will have a couple extra ganders from this years hatch. They are just starting to feather and will be buff or lilac (from a grey split buff curly gander HWF and a lilac goose from CottageRose bred by Banter in Maine)

How is everyone fairing with the rain? We could do without any more here. They closed the locks, that backed the water up in the canals, so the rain filled the pasture since it had nowhere to drain off to. Ducks and geese are loving the water, the goats not so much. Gotta love the county government and not clearing the canals to make room for the water from the rain.

Enjoying the late spring and the goslings we are growing out though. Bumper hatching this spring of Sebastopols, and still have a few more eggs to go. We have greatly down sized the chicken population about here with a few more to go yet. Finding waterfowl to be much more enjoyable, less damaging to the yard and pasture, and much better buggers than the chickens could dream of being.

So we have the Black copper marans flock, the EE flock, silver Appleyard ducks, khaki Campbell ducks, French white Muscovy ducks. For geese we have the Sebastopols, added Americans in blue and lavender ice, added buff dewlap Toulouse and utility grey Toulouse.

Sold off all of the call ducks this spring, nice and quiet around here again with them off to new homes. Kept the Mandarin ducks and apricot wood ducks.

What's everyone else up to?
