Hey... I have 11 hens, in Florida, that I need to deworm. This my 1st flock. I really didn't think about it until I got a puppy and she eats their poo. GROSSS, RIGHT!?! I've dewormed my puppy already.
What do I need to get for the chickens? Do I need to discard their eggs after deworming? If so, for how long? HELP, PLEASE....

THANK YOU,http://Yorkshire Coop
I don't know what it more mortifying, the fact that my puppy eats chicken crap or the array of worm that chickens can get.
Thanks for the link. It was an eye opening experience...

Don't get upset - dogs eat chicken poo, and chickens will go after dog poo, horse poo, and poo poo as well.

Once I saw my dog had brown teeth and stunk to high heaven, he was eating his own po. I thought his teeth were rotting out.

I guess that is why they are animals and we are elevated to human status.
