Flower Power, winter has been to long crochet swap, closes March 10

I think that I have settled on a pattern (see below). I have made two samples in white with pink centers, but am switching to the soft pink and yellow combo. Right now, all I have complete are the yellow centers for 16 blocks.

I am having so much fun... looking at various patterns online, seeing the lovely pictures you all post here, becoming so inspired and dreaming about afghans I'd like to design and make.

My state flower is the orange blossom. The pattern I found is very pretty, but a little beyond my skill level, hehehe. I would have to borrow a neighboring state as well.
