Flower Power, winter has been to long crochet swap, closes March 10

I probably will not host another one through the growing/garden season.  Just couldn't help squeezing one more in before the garden won out.  I sure hope someone else does so I can live vicariously through them. lol

Don't blame you a bit, honestly I was wondering how in the world y'all were finding the time! Well, next time, please keep me posted. The pics show lovely crochet.

I will most likely post pics of the finished squares before I sort and send them out, so everyone can see all the squares not just the ones they sent and recieved.

Hey all you crocheters! I have enjoyed looking at all your lovely pics, too bad I never saw this thread til today. Oh well, now I know where to look for the future swaps

So two questions: will you begin another right away or just take time off for summer and will you all post finished pics? Thanks for letting me peek on in your crochet party. Btw: Althea, I think you posted the white daisy on the green background square, I have an old (thrifted) doily made with Tr that looks very very similar, except . If I ever figure out the pattern and how to make in in a square, I'll be in!

I've been wondering if some us want to continue by doing some sort of crochet-along with a Flower of The Month. I found a website that has the loveliest flower patterns based on real flowers. The original patterns are in a different language, but english versions are provided. We wouldn't have to swap flower squares but could make for ourselves based on the pattern selected for each month. OR i guess we could do a swap if we each chose a flower pattern from the website.

What do you all think? Anyone interested? I can start a new thread if there is enough interest...

It sounds like we're at that inevitable point in a swap when we start talking about more swaps. I'd be in for another swap, but cannot host. I might drop an inquiry on the crochet chat thread after the 8th asking whether there is interest.

The flower of the month is a fun idea, but wouldn't work for me.

I think this would be a great way to learn new patterns! If everyone had to do something different every month, just think in a year how we'd have MAD SKILLZ at new and exciting things!
I'd love to see the website!!

Oh Hi everyone! I'm finally back on BYC. I've missed you all!!

Wooo Hoooo welcome back cheeky chick

I'm not quite finished with my squares. I might not get to mail out until Tuesday. I'll mail them Priority to help make up for my tardiness.

I was building a meat bird pen all day and I'm tired When I sit still I fall asleep.

I feel really badly, but I am not done with my granny squares. Flowers have been done for awhile, but I can't seem to get the right gauge/tension to produce a 6" square. I even went out yesterday and bought new yarn. I am really sorry. I'll be working frantically on them this week and can also send them priority mail.
