do they eat them? Are there any plants that if I am digging around the yard weeding and such that I shouldnt give them? Thanks!

Generally, if you throw them something that will make them ill they will have the sense to ignore it all on their own. I know this because whenever I tossed leaves of tomato plants they would just stare at me for wasting their time. This is likely the only area where chickens are smarter than cows. They do have a habbit of getting into your flower beds and tearing them appart so if the flowers (especially the annuals) are important to you then fence them off. Happy gardening.
