So, I have a hen that I think was injured by a coyote a week ago. We assumed this because the same day a chick was found killed and it's mother was gone. At that time, we noticed that she was limping and couldn't jump up on the roosting bar. We couldn't find any obvious injuries though. Tonight, we noticed that she appeared to have fluid coming out of her mouth. When checked, her crop feels like it is filled with fluid but doesn't feel like it has food or anything solid in it. When I palpated it, some watery brown fluid came out. She feels bonier than usual. What do you think is going on and what should I do?
