Fly Control - Ideas?

I clean the poop daily on 7 quail - the poop falls into kitty litter. So my question is.....
What can I do about flies that's safe for the birds too?

Barn lime and fly traps is all you can do, doesn't help much though...

I have fly bait stations...it helps, but you'd only notice if you didn't use it.

You can use one of those fly catchers, a bag you fill half way with water, break the plastic phermone tube, (I add water/vinegar/sugar), and hang it about 10 feet away. Then lightly spray the litter with a safe fly repellent.

I swear I scrub and clean the quail trays and still the flys come...so I got the bait and poured a little in a jar and that gets them good...I have the baggies that hang all over as well. Them flies LOVE poop!
