Fly Control - Ideas?

Put two up this afternoon. For 20 birds I think that'll work. Will let you all know how it goes. Got them from Autozone.

My mother uses cut cucumber on foil or growing garlic in her garden to keep bugs away. I guess they release some type of chemical. It seems like it's a deterrant for most insects, maybe it will work for flies too?

I hung 2 Vanilla Trees on the porch and used Premethrin - I think that's what its' called. Farmer Supply said that they use it aroudn chickens, horses etc. You spray every 28 days and has good residual. I sprayed the outside of cage, and the litter area (not in contact with birds).
Just did it yesterday so too early to tell, I know that the flying ants nearby got the hell out of dodge!

I used some last year. It didn't get rid of ALL the flies, but it did reduce the number.

I've been using them in the house and my truck and was amazed at the results. Will definitely be trying the vanilla trees all summer long!
