Fly Control??

    We use those and since we started using saw dust in the runs the flies have basically vanished.

    Possibly, though I think they scratch through it and the poop falls under it so the flies have less fresh doo to lay eggs in.

    I saw the vanilla freshener thread and bought a pack of 3 for about $2 in Walmart. My goodness, I never saw a fly in the coop again!

    We use those same Fly Bags and they work great! We also put sand in the run and that helped too.

    When ever I start to notice a slight increase in the fly numbers, mainly Ive found to be caused by excess moisture around waterers and pans. I just sprinkle a liberal dose of DE around the pen's and WA-LA no more flies.
