fly problem

Hi....my name is Milan and my wife has two pekin ducks and flies are our problem...Any ideas?

Greetings from Kansas and . Pleased you joined our community! Ducks can truly draw flies. Some folks use the disposable fly traps sold in farm and ranch stores. Others have elaborate electrified screens that zap the flies when they land on it. Best bet is to type 'fly problem' into the BYC search box. Lots of old thread discuss your issue. keeping their area as dry as possible helps a lot, I have quite a few ducks and in hot humid weather flys are a problem, also spilled feed attracts them. I have limed heavily wet areas and keep moving their water to dryer areas cooler fall weather will help

Try Spalding fly predators. My mom uses them around her horse pen and I've hardly ever noticed flies down there.
