I had a cockatiel once fly into a strip. By the way I am NOT impressed with the intelligence of tiels when they are flying.
I would try the flour idea if it ever happens again. I just carefully peeled the tape off the bird making my late hubby hang on to her while she was wrapped in a towel (it was his idea to hang the fly strip there) After getting the strip off I used warm water and dawn on a washcloth to remove as much of the goo as I could. Several years later she is doing fine as onery as ever.
