Flystrike in hatching eggs?

I’ve searched the internet and it seems I am the only one having this problem. The flies seem to be laying eggs inside the eggs while the ducklings are hatching. We have had awful flies this year. I have fly traps, I spray out their pen and lay new straw and clean out their pool often. But the flies are bad everywhere. Even for people who don’t have pets.

1. Does this look like flystrike? 2. What can I do to stop this?

I'm so sorry for your lost ducklings!! Is there a way you can cover the nest area with basic simple screening? That's the most inexpensive idea I've got and would be pretty easy to do. Doesn't have to be pretty, just functional until you can get a more permanent solution in place. Also, I know it's outside, but I heard that having moving air keeps the flies away...so maybe position a fan towards them?

You think because of maggots? I think I’d get mamaand eggs/ ducklings somewhere enclosed so flies can’t get in. I know flies can be a big problem but that’s awful they are laying eggs while the ducklings are hatching

I wasn’t sure if I should move them because we let the duck sit on them. I will totally move them if that’s an option but the flies are everywhere. We can kill 10 in our house and still find a bunch. It’s been absolutely ridiculous this year.

The fan is a good idea. I am not sure how the momma duck would be able to get in and out with netting around the nest but I’ll definitely look into it! :)
