And I second the fact they wait until you leave. my doe was showing no signs, I stay with her for hours. She never stretched, had a contraction, no goo. I go in and eat for about 20 minutes. Come back out to find two babies, about 1 minute old.
Mannn look at that belly. She's really having to rock to get back up! LOL I can't imagine babysitting this, it's so cold I've seen her breath a couple of times. I'd be literally on pins and needles.
It wasn't bad with my goats. They just did their thing until we heard them bawling their heads off while the first baby popped out. They called us just in time for us to catch the main act... no extra waiting time.
Yeah Goatie was a screamer! lol. She waited for me.
Lucie on the other hand, didn't make a peep. And popped those babies out in 20 minutes. At least she had a short labor. Goatie was having small contractions for 8 hours.
