Originally built in AC504, this pagoda was destroyed in 1197 and rebuilt soon after. I'm glad it was kept. It's a nice one.View attachment 3551642

It took me a while to realize that the thick "vine" on the tree is actually a vehicle for electricity wiring. If you zoom in, you may see that it's broken towards the bottom and the wire is exposed.

We are apparently a big city now because we got underground train last year.

June 23, raining all day

I really enjoyed myself today because I went to karaoke with friends @Ponypoor

I'm traveling again tomorrow. This time going to Xiamen.
In the map below, Xiamen is the blue blob at the bottom. It's a coastal city. Location wise, it's like Charleston, SC for US.

You can see that Beijing is twice as far as Xiamen to where I am, but train ride is still 6 hours. It's a slower train.

The trip is fine. I haven't been in the mood of updating since Tina got really poor and she died about 24 hours ago.

Tina was 2 year and 3 month old. A RIR. My husband was taking really good care of her during her last days. Therefore he got even more attached to her. So I'm also worried about him.

In China nobody will understand that I'm saddened by a chickens death, which makes it even worse.

At least I have BYC to rant.

Tina was 2 year and 3 month old. A RIR. My husband was taking really good care of her during her last days. Therefore he got even more attached to her. So I'm also worried about him.

In China nobody will understand that I'm saddened by a chickens death, which makes it even worse.

At least I have BYC to rant.

I understand completely, and if your husband needs any of us to chat or vent with tell him to pop on to the site and we will all mourn Tina together

I am very sorry she has passed away, I know that both you and your husband gave her outstanding care; just take one day at a time and remember she had an awesome life with you.

I'm very sorry for Tina. Reproductive issues are taking such a toll on hens at this time of year .
It must be hard being away and alone. Sending good thoughts to you and your husband .

Every day I worry about my big hefty girls, I actually look forward to Dorothy going broody just so she will lose some weight, they are just mutts but I still worry their weight may cause some issues.

Oh I am so sorry you lost Tina. It's always heartbreaking when they pass, and you being on vacation away from her and home, makes it all the harder. We are here for you if you need us.
